ROSSI DAN F1

Just when everybody get assured that Valentino Rossi does not have too much interest in F1, he again tested Ferrari 2004 F1 model on Fiorano circuit yesterday and today. Rossi has made about 80 laps in tuesday, which looks like serious test after previous one, when he made only 14 laps. Similarly like in previous test, Rossi rode 3 seconds slower than Michael Schumacher's lap record. His best time was 59.21.Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemolo was present at the circuit, watching Rossi's F1 test. From all facts that are known at the moment, Valentino Rossi may enter formula 1 competition in 2007, after his contract with Yamaha expires. Contracts in Ferrari are also suitably made for this switch, as Rubens Barricello is replaced with Brazilian Felipe Massa, but for one year only, which leaves free place for Rossi in 2007. Contracting Valentino Rossi looks like wise move for Ferrari, who did not have Italian champion in F1 for more than 50 years, since Alberto Ascari who won titles in 1952 and 1953. Valentino Rossi is also sportsman with enormus popularity in the world and Italy, and having him signed for Ferrari will also be great maketing move.Valentino Rossi's team boss in MotoGP, Davide Brivio, knows about Rossi's test for Ferrari, and says that his contract allows him to do this kind on things without any problems. For sportsman of Valentino's calibre, challenges in MotoGP championship are slowly disappearing, as he is on the way to his 5th MotoGP title, and switch to F1 and winning this prestigeous 4 wheel championship is the way to make him a legend even bigger than he is now. However, despite his carting experience, this will not be an easy challenge for Rossi, as lot of experience is required to drive F1 car, besides talent he for sure does not lack.
